Internships in Germany supported by ERASMUS+, ESF, German-Polish Youth Cooperation

How do we work?

We cooperate with German companies in the hotel industry, gastronomy, tourism, construction, logistics, commerce, vehicle mechanic and gardening.

Interns have the chance to develop their professional and language competences, gaining invaluable experience in an international working environment.

We are the partner and host organisation in the projects. We provide mental preparation for the students at schools. We provide internship places in German companies according to an agreed internship programme. We carry out transfers on site.

We organise cultural excursions (upon agreement with the school). If necessary, we can also assist with the preparation of the internship.

We offer internship places in the following areas:

  • Hotel, catering and tourism
  • Construction
  • Logistics and trade
  • Vehicle mechanics and mechatronics
  • Landscaping and gardening

Internships have a minimum duration of 2 weeks and take place exclusively in companies. Students must be at least 16 years old. For example, with a mobility of 30 days (including 2 days of return travel), 20 days work with mentors in companies and 8 days off.

In ERASMUS+ projects, schools act as applicant and sending organisation and we are the main host organisation. In PNWM projects the schools are our Guest – Sending Organisation and we are the Applicant and Host.

Internships in partnership with are defined by quality, joint problem-solving, mutual trust, quick decision-making, fast flow of information, meetings in schools.

How do I get started?

If you are initially interested, please contact us by email or telephone. We will go over the most important aspects of the collaboration and answer your initial questions. Then we can schedule a meeting online or in person at your school. We will invite the management and the project coordinator to Thuringia for a so-called preparatory visit.

Interns should be highly motivated to get to know their new environment, work in a company and make new friends, be ready to communicate in foreign languages and through non-verbal communication and be open to learn about another culture and customs.

Frequently asked questions

Below you will find the most frequently asked questions about organising an internship in Germany.

In the Erasmus+ mobilities in Germany we will plan together with the school concerned, students do not incur any costs. They receive additional pocket money for their own needs. PNWM projects require an own contribution: purchase of insurance, possibly missing protective clothing/shoes, travel support. The school will receive a travel support from the PNWM.

Students doing their internship in hotels in various locations in Thuringia and other states live in their internship companies, in double rooms. An exception are trade, mechanic and gardening students. They are accomodated withe a supervisor from the school in our facility in the city of Eisenach.

The school supervisor who accompanies the students to Thuringia should be familiar with the German language, as he or she participates with us in taking the students to the internship sites (companies) where the implementation of the students takes place. After a stay of about 3-5 days, the school may change the supervisor to an English-speaking or other person. The supervisor supports the students in organising their free time and keeps in touch with the students and with us for ongoing monitoring and evaluation

They can be up to 2 people who come for a so-called pilot project within the PNWM. Erasmus+ groups are usually larger for reasons of organisational and financial efficiency and usually comprise between 10 and 20 students.

Students receive certificates from us confirming their placement abroad and an ECVET learning outcomes assessment form with two assessments: for practical skills and for communication and attitude. Under Erasmus+ in Germany, students additionally receive a Learning Agreement Supplement and Europass Mobility (issued by the school and confirmed by us online).
