Frequently asked questions

We are delighted to respond to your inquiries! We hope our answers will help clear up any doubts and make it easier for you to decide to work with us.

No. Students should be familiar with basic forms of politeness in German, but they should also be willing to learn new general and professional vocabulary. Pupils can also use English with their colleagues, mentors and with the help of apps, phrasebooks, dictionaries, etc. Non-verbal communication plays a very important role: gestures, facial expressions, posture, eye contact and smiling.

Usually, groups arrive by bus (to Siegmundsburg) or by train (to Eisenach). The organisation of transport and the choice of means of transport is the task of the school, but we provide guidance and assistance if necessary.

We arrange all practice dates for the group individually with the school. Young people come to us all year round, except from Christmas to New Year, Easter and August (then we have a company holiday).

First, we ask you to contact us by phone or email. Then we schedule an appointment online and/or at your school. The next stage is your visit to us. During the preparatory visit, we discuss the most important aspects of the cooperation, show you the selected apprenticeship companies, our headquarters and the main facility. If possible, you can talk to the students completing their apprenticeship at this time. We set a date for the arrival of the first group.

No. We work with schools with Erasmus+ VET accreditation, with on-going Erasmus+ short term projects and with those who just want to start with us in Erasmus+ VET. We support schools without experience in setting up Erasmus+ projects (school as applicant). However, we do not provide any training in this area. Please take part in events organised by the Erasmus+ National Agency in your country.

The school is responsible for recruiting participants and then preparing them linguistically, pedagogically, culturally and organisationally. We carry out the so-called mental preparation at the school. We meet with the departing group of students, their parents/legal representatives and the guardians who will accompany the group in Thuringia. We discuss the most important issues related to the stay and placement and answer questions.
